Bottle size.

An example: a 30 ml bottle with 500mg of CBD selling for $40, while another 500mg bottle at 60 ml also sells for $40. The vendor leads the customer to think they are getting twice as much CBD when they are actually getting twice as much coconut oil and that’s it.

b. 60 ml @ 500mg of CBD is 8 mg of CBD per 1 ml dose.

This trick means that anyone considering buying CBD products needs to check the amount of CBD per ml, not just the size of the bottle.

Use of Isolate instead of Distillate.

CBD Isolate comes in a powder form and can be easily added to most end products. It has been stripped of all plant material using solvents and boasts a 99% CBD concentration without any other cannabinoids or other phyto materials. Isolate typically costs somewhere between $3,000 and $4,000 for one kilo.

Distillate, on the other hand, comes as a thick oil that is extracted from the plant and preserves the plant’s natural cannabinoids, terpenes and other phyto materials.
